Gower College Swansea strengthens its position as leader in Cybersecurity Education and Training through new relationship with the Cyber Innovation Hub

A new partnership with the Cyber Innovation Hub (CIH) brings a programme of cyber security education to Sketty Hall Business School. The partnership will focus on upskilling industry in cyber security hygiene and help ensure businesses across South-West Wales have the knowledge, skills and understanding to secure their business operations. This partnership builds on and extends Gower College Swansea's outstanding reputation as a leader in digital skills and cyber security provision.

CIH is being led by Cardiff University and the University of South Wales (both recognised by the National Cyber Security Centre for excellence in research, innovation and education) with delivery partners the Alacrity Foundation and Tramshed Tech, and a consortium of private and public sector partners including Airbus, Cardiff Capital Region, CGI, Thales and Welsh Government. CIH is on a mission to transform South Wales into a leading cyber security cluster by the end of the decade and this relationship strengthens that ambition.

This new partnership starts with some FREE Cyber Security Hygiene taster workshops running on March 10 2025. Each session lasts 2 hours, and you can choose from 1 of 3 slots. The workshop introduces the essential practices your organisation needs to protect personal and organisational data, emphasising password security, software updates and social engineering. Participants will gain quick, actionable tips to strengthen their online defenses and reduce cyber risks.
