As part of Mis Cwl Cymru, Cynnal Cymru brought their ‘The Wales We Want’ project to Gower College Swansea.
The Welsh Government funded project is aimed at getting young people to voice their opinions on the 'Wales they Want', information that will be fed into the Well-Being of Future Generations Bill.
Comedians Daniel Glyn and (former Gower College Swansea student) Ignacio Lopez visited the college and put on a special stand up gig followed by a discussion on The Wales We Want.
On the Tycoch and Gorseinon campuses, a number of students came to listen to the comedy show and take part in a further discussion, being filmed talking about ‘the Wales they want’.
At Tycoch the students were Aron Davies, Emyr Mansour and Nathan Bowles (Pre Foundation course) and Christina Webb and Ceri Evans (Childcare.) At Gorseinon the students were Ffion Burridge (Childcare), Dylan Jones (Sport) and Gabriella McAllister (A Levels.)
The hope is that there will be a progression of this project and that Daniel and Ignacio can return to the college to take this discussion further - so that the voice of our young people can be heard in Cardiff Bay.
