Shannon Jade, who completed an Access to Psychology and Counselling course at the Tycoch Campus before starting a degree in Sociology at Swansea University, was recently awarded an Access to Higher Education Award by Agored Cymru for her Outstanding Academic Achievement. She said:

“It was such a privilege to be able to study at this stage in my life, especially as I left school at 16 and didn’t think I was particularly academic. But I really loved College, the teaching staff were phenomenal, and the experience has given me so much confidence and has opened so many opportunities for me and my family.”

Emily Lowe completed a Level 3 in Sports Massage at Gower College Swansea. She said:

“It feels good to be learning new things and developing my knowledge. It had been quite a while since I was in formal education, so I was a bit nervous but I'm so glad I took this step.

“If you are considering a part-time course at the College – I’d say to go for it! You never know where it could take you.”
