Creating Concrete Greenman Sculptures
Overview
Bring character and creativity to your garden this spring by making your own handcrafted Greenman sculpture. This course will introduce you to the process of designing and creating decorative outdoor plaques or ornaments using a variety of materials and mould making techniques.
With step-by-step demonstrations and guidance from your tutor, you’ll explore mould making, clay modelling, and casting techniques to produce your own unique sculpture suitable for outdoor display. The course encourages experimentation and creativity while helping you build practical 3D making skills.
There are opportunities to develop various casting techniques with different materials including:
- Plaster
- Modroc
- Alginate
- Clay/cement.
This course is ideal for beginners, or anyone interested in garden sculpture, mixed media art, or learning a new creative skill. By the end of the course, you’ll have created your own bespoke 3D Greenman sculpture to enjoy outdoors.
Please note: Ceramic pieces will need to be collected once they have been fired.
