Music Performance and Production Level 3 - Extended Diploma
Overview
The UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Performance and Production is a comprehensive and intensive two year course designed for students who are passionate about pursuing a career in the music industry. This two-year program offers students the opportunity to develop their skills in music performance and music production techniques.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including music theory, live performance skills, music production software, recording techniques, and music business and marketing. Students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and will be taught by experienced and knowledgeable industry professionals.
Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to apply their learning through practical projects and live performances. Upon completion of the course, students will have gained the skills necessary to succeed in a variety of roles within the music industry, including as performers, producers, and sound engineers.
Key information
- Five GCSEs grade C or above
- Or UAL Level 2 Diploma in Music Performance and Production - Pass or above
- Audition (learners must be able to play an instrument or sing).
There are 13 units that require passing (no exams); Eight in the first year and five in the second year.
The final units for both years are graded Pass, Merit or Distinction (this will be your grade for each year).
Most learners progress onto university courses, some secure jobs in the music industry.
There is a studio fee of £75 per year for this course which will cover all resources required for the duration of the course.
