IT has become a mainstay of nearly every business model. Without IT, accounting functions cannot be performed, and customer data linked to these functions cannot be quickly checked and used to underpin business decisions.
In the 21st century, a business model must contain a web presence and in fact more business is being done digitally than ever before.
IT professionals must support these ever changing business requirements by being flexible and knowledgeable. They need to provide their company with hardware support, software support and any other computer based support that is necessary. In small to medium enterprises the IT Manager may need to be multi-skilled, actual hard and soft skills must be underpinned by the ability to keep up with emerging technologies and understand where they are applicable to the company’s business model.
The course aims to produce an informed and competent IT graduate by intellectual stimulation, practical application and the development of analytic skills covering both the theory and practice to IT.
