Beauty Therapy student, Esther, looking forward to life on the ocean waves!

Gower College Swansea student, Esther Giles, has secured employment with Steiner, the largest provider of quality spa and salon services on cruise ships. The company employs more than 2,000 people each year to work on luxury cruise ships across the world and is in a position to recruit the very best. A representative from Steiner visits the college each year to talk about the opportunities available.

Esther, who is about to complete the Level 3 Beauty Therapy Treatments course at the college’s Broadway Centre, will undergo employee training with Steiner in August and, on completion, will be given an air ticket to fly out to join a ship and start work! She says of her time at college: "The staff at Broadway have been amazing and incredibly supportive in helping me achieve my career goals in the beauty therapy field. I am excited to be getting off to the best start possible within the beauty industry by being trained further by Steiner."

Joanna McEwan-Thomas, Esther’s tutor, commented: "It has been a long-standing ambition of Esther’s to join Steiner and work on the cruise liners and she has worked incredibly hard to get through the stringent interview process and trade tests. I am delighted that all her effort and dedication has paid off. She is a fantastic Beauty Therapist and she has a bright future ahead of her!"
